Logo Project 2 - Charleston Thunder Waves

What I like most about this logo is that it is similar to what most the current (real) NFL logos look like. Very straight to the point, generally depicting the teams mascot, and the name. I feel this logo has both those element, and I'm happy with the way it turned out. The "C" for Charleston, is made to look like a cloud, the lightening, and the vicious waves all come together to depict thunder storm in the Charleston harbours. If you've even been to the beach in Charleston you know that the waves can be pretty nasty, the same way our football team (imaginary) can.

Caligramme Assignment "Sam Smith- Lay Me Down"

I chose a sun flower because they're my favorite flower. They are strong, yet overwhelmingly beautiful. They can withstand harsh rain, let they thrive in the sun light. I chose the lyrics to Sam Smith's Lay Me Down track, because I love his music. I can really relate to this song right now.

Logo Critique

-I like the lays chips logo. The yellow circle immediately makes you think of a potato chip, it makes someone who is hungry crave chips. I think the yellow and red combination of colors is attention grabbing, and they contrast well together. I think the font flows the same way the name Lay's flows. The logo is inviting and I think it would appeal to many different consumer audiences, from adults to kids.

-I think the name Michael Kors speaks volumes for the brand, with or without a logo. The logo is very simple and straight to the point without jumping through hoops, or any extra and unnecessary additives. The logo is chic, the black and white coloring makes it look very clean. It is exactly what it is, Michael Kors, a luxury item, and the logo shows that.

-The Aquafina logo is perfect for the product is sells. When people are thirsty they want the best, cleanest water that is available to them. Most people enjoy their water ice cold, the faint image of mountain tops in the logo perfectly represents the ice tops of those mountains, the coldest spot on a mountain. The top of a mountain could also symbolize victory, as in reaching the top, and needing the best water to reward you for the perseverance it took to reach the top. The brand name is bold and clear, and the logo "Purity Guaranteed" is smoother but still obvious.

-The colors in the Moe's logo will attract the kind of customer that Moe's caters to. The colors are warm, attention grabbing, and they evoke spice! The pepper is cleverly placed to represent a ' in the name, and the description at the bottom lets people know that this isn't just any place, its a southwest grill. The red makes you think of the hot flames of a fire on the grill, and the heat of a pepper. The green, pops on the yellow and makes you think of the freshness of their ingredients, appealing to consumers who not only want good food, but fresh and healthy food as well.

-This is the logo for Pandora Internet Radio. The logo is extremely simple, and doesn't give off very much of what it represents. I don't think someone who knew nothing about Pandora would be drawn to this logo, or interested in what it is. As a huge fan of Pandora, the logo serves as no problem for me, I can easily notice it among my other applications, partly because it is so simple. Many applications don't have too much space to be very elaborate in their logo designs, which is understandable, being that most of its consumers, use them on mobile devices.

Fictional Company Logo Ideas

A  logo for a NFL team in Charleston, SC called the Charleston Thunder Waves!
1. The logo would feature a large powerful wave, with a lightening bold in the background to show the taunting thunder.

This would be a logo for a new sports drink that would be called "ReBoot"
2. The logo would look like the inside of a machine of some sort, with a loading screen, that is seconds away from completing a "ReBoot"

This logo would be for a Real Estate company, that would be owned and operated by myself.
3.The first logo would be for "MSR Real Estate, Selling houses, while making homes."
4. The second logo would be for "Rector Real Estate"

The last logo would be for a Gluten Free Cookbook, online
5. The logo would feature a catch name, along with a photo of the book's premier recipe.
